What happens when two people attempt to live, practice, and evolve together while working within different magickal systems?

This workshop explores magickal partnership not as idealized harmony, but as a dynamic field of tension, growth, and transformation. We begin by examining several historical magickal partnerships, observing how shared purpose, devotion, and proximity often produced both creative power and interpersonal strain.

Rather than treating conflict as failure, this class reframes it as part of the Work itself. In many cases, what appears as incompatibility is the result of two individuals encountering one another deeply enough to reveal patterns, projections, and misalignments that would otherwise remain hidden.

This does not suggest that all relationships should be preserved. However, it challenges the assumption that difficulty automatically signals the need to separate. Under certain conditions, relational friction may function as a refining process—“polishing the stones”—through which clarity and alignment emerge.

Participants will explore:

• Why magickal and spiritual partnerships often intensify conflict rather than resolve it
• The difference between emotional reactivity and the “heart as compass”
• How projection, wounding, and True Will become entangled in close relationship
• The role of “ordeal” as an initiatory process rather than a sign of failure
• How to discern when friction signals growth—and when it signals misalignment
• Practical ways to help magickal partners grow together over time

Attendees will leave with a clearer framework for understanding relational tension and a grounded sense of how to orient within it as part of a magickal life.
