Zehara Nachash, known as the “Bright Serpent,” is a fourth-generation Witch, author, and modern-day Snake Priestess with over two decades of experience in the mystical and esoteric arts. A lifelong practitioner of witchcraft, her path is deeply rooted in ancestral folk traditions and enriched through her studies in Ceremonial Magick, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, and New Orleans Vodou.

An initiate of the Temple of the Seekers and a dedicated student of New Orleans Vodou, Zehara’s work bridges traditions, honoring both the sacred and the practical aspects of magick. She is the author of multiple books, including The Eternal Coil, Snake Charming, Grave Spirits, and Snake and Bone’s Book of Shadows, with upcoming works exploring the intersection of modern witchcraft and Vodou.

Zehara is also the founder of the Pagans Behind Bars Project, a nonprofit initiative providing spiritual support to incarcerated Pagans and Wiccans. Through her teaching, writing, and ritual work, she empowers others to embrace their own magick, awaken their inner wisdom, and walk the transformative path of the serpent.
