Bio for Rachel True

Rachel True is an American Actor and author. She has appeared in number 1 box office films and starred in her own sitcom. Many in the magical community came to know Rachel for her role as Rochelle in the hit motion picture and cult movie classic, The Craft, which inspired countless people in the 1990s and beyond to explore the practice and spirituality of Witchcraft. Later, she had a lead role in the UPN comedy Half & Half and has continued to act in projects since. All along the way, however, Rachel relied on her own intuition and trusted the tarot cards to help her navigate the craggy landscape of Hollywood.

Drawing on this experience, Rachel is the author of True Heart Intuitive Tarot, a book and deck set that includes 22 memoir essays and a gorgeously illustrated deck by artist Stephanie Singleton. The True Heart Intuitive Tarot uses the symbolism of the popular Rider–Waite–Smith deck as a prototype, as it encompasses the hero’s journey beautifully and, unbeknownst to many, was illustrated by a woman of color. As Rachel notes, “My deck is designed to feel like a hug or favorite blanket. A trusted friend to rely on when the hour is darkest, or you simply need clarification. Tarot is a bit like a shrink in box, always there to help you help yourself.”
