Bio for Frater R.C.

Frater R.C. is an interfaith minister and hermetic priest, beginning his journey growing up as a child yoga initiate in a Maharishi family before attending Steiner’s Waldorf School (k-12). He began his Wiccan practice in early teens in the Reclaiming Tradition with Pat Hogan in Vancouver before becoming the youngest initiate in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in 1996 at the age of fifteen. After earning his Masters of Divinity at UBC, he closed down the Vancouver Golden Dawn Temple Tehuti and began doctoral studies with Dr Goodrick-Clarke’s esoteric studies program, part-time, while touring and performing in a traditional Irish band.

Having served in ministry in both the Anglican Church of Canada and the Temple of Isis (Fellowship of Isis) in California, Frater R.C. began the Hermetic Podcast during lockdown as well as online teaching and offering spiritual direction to both mainstream clergy and those in new religious movements. He also hosts workshops, conferences and retreats through forming the Arcane Research Society in 2019; especially the annual Dee and Kelly EnochiaCon now in its third year. He has presented many events over three decades around the world, most recently at Berlin Occulture (2019), PantheaCon (2020) and EnochiaCon (2024, 2026).
