Throughout history, poisonous and aphrodisiac herbs have been used both for ecstasy and destruction, intertwining with the mysteries of magic and seduction. Hekate, goddess of poisons, crossroads, and sorcery, teaches the art of handling plants that heal and kill, while Aphrodite, mistress of desire and passion, governs enchantments that ignite the senses and ensnare hearts. Among mandrakes and belladonnas, roots and essences, these two forces meet, showing that the line between pleasure and danger is often a matter of dose and intention. In this class, we will explore the relationship between poisons and aphrodisiacs through these grand goddesses. We will study the possibilities available to enhance our magical practices.
