Join Mike Wolf as you learn about the traditional magical practices of one of the most formative cultures in western magic, Scotland. You’ll learn how pre-Christian pagan traditions and Catholicism coalesced to create a unique magical practice that contributed greatly to what we refer to as “Traditional Witchcraft” today. Together, we’ll explore the basics of traditional Scottish Folk Healing, divination, and infamous Scottish charms that are employed by cunning folk to this day.

Catholics in Scotland in the 15th, 16th, and 17th Centuries referred to their beliefs as “the old religion”, referencing their integration of pagan practices, traditions, and deities into their every day spirituality. An amalgam of Anglo, Germanic, Gaelic, and Catholic spiritual teaching, Scottish Magic eventually drew the ire of the Protestant reformation and ignited arguably the bloodiest Witch Trial in history. Explore the teachings that became a cornerstone of modern traditional witchcraft and the history that inspired some of Pop Culture’s most famous witches.
