Hekate is thought of as the Greek Goddess of witchcraft, magic, lunar lore, ghosts, necromancy, doors and crossroads. She was often depicted as a torch-bearing goddess of the night, accompanied by a retinue of ghosts and hounds. Many modern practitioners see her as the Crone figure in the Maiden, Mother, and Crone feminine archetypes associated with the Triple Goddess. The workshop will explore the many ways that the ancients saw Hekate and also how the ways she has been perceived has changed over the centuries.
