Spirit work is an integral part of witchcraft and magickal practise, whether that's honouring the ancestors and beloved dead, working with plants or developing relationships with the genius loci. Sounds great, right? And it is, however it can also be a struggle to know where to start. What does spirit work even mean? What is meant by the term 'spirit'? And what about cultural differences, or the differences between different paths and traditions? Even for witches and practitioners who are experienced, it's easy to get stuck in a rut with spirit work, or even feel a little lost. This workshop then, is for anyone, no matter their tradition, path or practice and regardless of experience, who wants to develop their spirit work practise in a meaningful way. Join Emma Kathryn, a witch, Obeah woman and Vodouisant, on an exploration of spirit work within magick and witchcraft. Examine the world of spirit through the lens of traditional witchcraft, Obeah and Vodou as well as considering what hermeticism and alchemy add to our understanding of the spirit world. This is a practical workshop too, so attendees will craft their own spirit vessel for use within their own witchcraft work.
