Paula van Strien holds master’s degrees in Art History, Business Administration, Philosophy, and Cultural Studies. Her academic background provides a rich foundation for her exploration of technology, symbolism, and metaphysics—particularly where these domains intersect with magical practice.

With professional experience as a software developer, Paula brings a unique lens to the study of AI and digital enchantment. Her work bridges the analytical and the intuitive, blending systems thinking with esoteric frameworks to examine how language, algorithms, and attention may shape reality.

Her magical practice draws upon chaos magick, semiotics, AI, and quantum theory to explore the idea that spells—especially those generated by artificial intelligence—may function not only as symbolic tools, but as autonomous agents of change. She is particularly interested in the role of the Observer Effect in spellwork, and in the question of whether intention is necessary when spells are born from code.
