Bio for Lelia Marino
Lelia Marino has been practicing rootwork and conjure for over 20 years. She is the former owner of Ms. Rain’s Conjure Shop, Staten Island, New York’s first full-service Hoodoo and Conjure shop, and is now offering teachings and magical products online. Lelia is an initiated Yaya in the Afro-Cuban Regla, Palo Kimbisa. Three years ago, Lelia created the “Real Life Oracle” deck, loosely based on the Lenormand and Kipper decks. “Real Life Oracle” depicts situations that we currently encounter in the modern world. As of last year, Lelia began creating a new oracle deck focusing on the feminine deities of African Traditional Religions in diasporic practices under the name of Magical Empress Inc. Lelia is a certified birth and postpartum doula/lactation consultant (International Doula Institute), is certified in trauma-informed aromatherapy, is a Usui Reiki master, crystal therapist, wife, mother, and grandmother.
