Bio for Vikki Bramshaw
Vikki Bramshaw is an author and researcher committed to studying folk magic, folklore, anthropology, and the esoteric since the late ’90s.
Following the publication of her first book, “Craft of the Wise: A Practical Guide” in 2009, Vikki contributed to several anthologies, including “VS: Duality and Conflict in Magick, Mythology and Paganism” and “Hekate: Her Sacred Fires,” before releasing the groundbreaking “Dionysos: Exciter to Frenzy” in 2013, which explored the god Dionysos and his influence on the ancient world.
Most recently, Vikki’s latest book, “New Forest Folklore, Traditions & Charms,” was released in 2022, a unique study of the folklore and traditions of the ancient landscape of her native New Forest. Following this publication, Vikki was asked to assist in curating the “The Spirit of the Forest” exhibition at the New Forest Heritage Centre. Her research has also been integrated into the projects of various New Forest Artists in Residence, community projects, and activities.
Vikki lives in the rural New Forest with her young son, hens, horses, and one spirit cat.
