Bio for Jamie Della
Jamie Della is a Xicana Witch, Shamanic Priestess, healer, magickal and creativity mentor, and author of ten books, including “A Box of Magick: A Guided Journey to Crafting a Magickal Life through Witchcraft, Ritual Herbalism and Spellcrafting,” “The Book of Spells,” and “The Wicca Cookbook.” She has been a published Wiccan author and teacher since 2000, helping to break the glass ceiling for magick makers to reach the mainstream.
Jamie launched the “Every Last Drop” newsletter of the Keep Long Valley Green coalition to preserve the water and ecosystems of Payahuunadü. She writes the “Herbal Journeys” column for “Witches & Pagans” magazine, a free newsletter every new and full moon, “Writing the Magick” Substack page, and “Homesteading the Hollows” blog based on living off grid in the Emerald Triangle. Jamie is a Reiki practitioner and energy massage healer, trained DVSA advocate, and trained SoulCollage® facilitator.
Jamie’s Witchcraft practice began at the Eye of the Cat in Long Beach, CA, and was shepherded by Connie DeMasters, Elder High Priestess of the Crimson Dragon Druidic Craft of the Wise, who bequeathed her entire magickal collection and study to Jamie, and Lunaea Weatherstone of the Sisterhood of the Silver Branch. Jamie is an ordained Priestess of the Mt. Shasta Goddess Temple with Mandala Priestess Yeshe Matthews.
In honor of her mentors and those who have paved the path before us, Jamie offers a personalized one-on-one magickal mentorship based on her most recent book, “A Box of Magick.” Jamie’s next project, “The Last Daughters of the Don,” is a magickal realism/historical fiction novel. Jamie says, “This book is quite literally my opus and tells the story of the glory, cruelty, and fall of the Early Californio Ranchero era through the eyes of my fourth grandmother, Maria Espiritu Santos Peralta, who lived through it all.”
