Bio for André Consciência

André has over 20 years of experience practicing the Franz Bardon System and systems presented by Rosicrucian orders and Thelemic organizations, and he remains an active member of the Horus Maat Lodge. He also offers a comprehensive magical online study curriculum at The Perseus Arcane Academy, guiding students from beginner to adepthood. Additionally, he has taught neo-shamanism since 2011.

Residing in Moita, Portugal, André has been a dedicated Bardon practitioner for twenty-two years.

As a minor, he joined Fraternitas Hermetica, an order based on Bardon's works, and has maintained a connection with his initiator even after the order's dissolution. He has also worked with his old initiator for 20 years. André has experience with various magical systems, including AMORC, the Order of Michael’s Grail (with roots in Dion Fortune), Thelemic Golden Dawn, and Astrum Argentum.

André teaches neo-shamanism and leads an active group of practitioners. His shamanic path serves as a simple means to reach the uninitiated. Alongside his shamanic practices, he has extensively explored the hermetic magical systems of Franz Bardon and methods from Rosicrucian and Thelemic organizations. He continues to be an active member of the Horus Maat Lodge and provides a full magical online study curriculum at The Perseus Arcane Academy.

In addition to his magical pursuits, André is an accomplished author, poet, playwright, musician, and founder of the theater company CIA.Mefisteatro.

In 2010, he established a therapy program through creative writing and shamanistic performance, marking the start of his career as a performer. He has incorporated unique poems into his performances and often collaborates with other artists, including dancers and musicians. His music career includes solo and collective projects, and he created his first play, "Língua de Fogo" (Tongue of Fire), featuring dancer Soraya Moon. In 2017, he released "A Summer In Our Mouths," a semi-autobiographical fiction narrated from the Sun's perspective.

In 2018, he founded his theater company, CIA.Mefisteatro, with Eunice Correia, debuting with the kabbalistic play "Twilight Circus." As a playwright, André has written plays and music for "Rumpelstiltskin," "Three Strange Stories," "Iomik and the Book-Tree," "Dr. Jeronimo," and the ritual play "Sapho’s Bone."

In addition to his Neoplatonic approach to poetry, fiction, music, and theater, André has been involved in various magical orders. His nonfiction articles have been published by Sirius Limited Esoterica, including "The Way of Abrahadabra," where he aimed to distill Thelema's folk rituals into hermetic methods. This was followed by "The Path of Ipsos" (Vol I & II), focusing on PanAeonic Magick.

André Consciência is also the president of three cultural associations and has served as a content writer and ghostwriter at Fractal Mind Lda, a company specializing in Gamification for a better world.
